The team announced Iannone’s renewal ahead of the Spanish Round and Team Manager Denis Sacchetti spoke about extra manufacturer support for 2025

The future of Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven) was a hot topic until the Thursday of the Prometeon Spanish Round, when the Independent Ducati team announced that ‘The Maniac’ would compete for them again next season. It will be Iannone’s second season in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship after a race-winning rookie campaign, and he’ll be hoping he can build on what has already been an incredible return to racing for the #29.

In his interview on Thursday, Iannone alluded to the fact there would be more support from Ducati for next season when he said: “I think it’s the best for me for next year, the best choice. We’ll try to improve things compared to next year. I think Team GoEleven and my management worked to improve the level a little bit. I think we have a little bit more support from Ducati and I’m really happy about this.”

Details from Iannone about the extra support were sparse but the question was put to Team Manager Denis Sacchetti during Free Practice 1 at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, with Sacchetti revealing more information about the extra support that the team will receive from Ducati in 2025 as they look to become consistent podium challengers. While there has been some success, capped off with the Race 1 victory at MotorLand Aragon, there has been inconsistency too as Iannone returned to racing after four years and learns the Panigale V4 R, Pirelli tyres and some new circuits.

Discussing Iannone’s renewal for 2025, Sacchetti said: “We are really happy to continue with him, I think the team and him have really good potential for next season. We are working well; we won one race and are happy with the work done and to work with Ducati and have more support from them. We are positive for the future for 2025. Here at Jerez, it’s a good track for us, because here we started our adventure one year ago, so we want to enjoy this weekend, last race weekend of the season and what to get the best as possible.”

Sacchetti was then asked about the extra support, and he said: “Our bike is already very good but next season we will have the development parts from Ducati, so we will work together with them, and we try to keep the level of the performance of the bike high for the whole season. This weekend we work with the same bike. I think at Estoril, we found good pace, so we will work in that direction and see what happens in this free practice. We’ll try to improve the base setup. Also, for next season we have some idea to try, also with the winter test. We will try some technical adjustments here about the setup and the balance of the bike.”
